Fred Druding, Jr.

Fred Druding, Jr. currently resides in the Pennsport section of South Philadelphia with his fiancée Marjilyn Pakech. Boxing started out as a casual after school activity at the EOM Athletic Association for Fred, although it eventually became his life passion. Fred would later train under famed collegiate coach Dr. Ken Cox while attending Lock Haven University. There he won the Northeastern Collegiate Boxing Championship and was named an “All American”. He also won the Middle Atlantic Association Boxing Championship and the Philadelphia Golden Gloves Championship and went on to turn professional under the tutelage of the late Wesley Mouzon at the world renowned Front St. Gym. Now retired, Fred currently is serving his 3rd term on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Veteran Boxers Association and is on the Joey Giardello Statue committee.

In addition to his many boxing endeavors, Fred has been elected to the board and later President of the Whitman Council Civic Association and currently serves as the Community Liaison for the Weccacoe CDC. In 2008, Fred was elected by the citizens of the 19147/19148 zip codes to be a Citizen Representative for the Mayors Office of Community Services. He is also is a member of the Saints Mummers Club and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
