Effective date: September 15, 2026
I take privacy seriously, and I prefer plain language. Radatti.com exists so people can learn about my work, books, articles, talks, photographs, and related material. I use a limited amount of information to keep the site working and to understand which parts people find useful. I do not sell personal information. I do not rent it, trade it, or give it to advertisers.
Information you choose to send
If you use the contact form, you may provide your name, email address, subject, and message. If you ask to receive newsletters or updates, you provide your email address. I use that information only to answer you or provide what you requested. I do not add contact-form information to an unrelated mailing list.
The contact form is the best way to reach me. It keeps personal email addresses out of public page source, which cuts down on spam and misuse.
Information received automatically
Like nearly every website, the server receives ordinary technical information when a page is requested. This can include an IP address, browser and device type, the date and time, the page requested, and the page that referred you here. I use server information only for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and basic site operation. I am not interested in building a personal profile about you.
Google Analytics
With your permission, this site uses Google Analytics through Google Site Kit. Analytics helps me answer practical questions: Which pages are useful? How did visitors find the site? Are people using a computer, tablet, or telephone? Are links, forms, videos, and downloads working as intended?
Analytics may measure pages viewed, general referral source, approximate country or region, browser and device category, and basic actions such as scrolling, following an outside link, playing a video, completing a form, or downloading a file. I do not send your name, email address, message, or the contents of a downloaded file to Google Analytics.
Google’s optional Analytics data-sharing settings are turned off. This site is not connected to Google Ads or AdSense, and I do not use Analytics to follow you around the Internet or create an advertising profile. I use the results to improve this website and to understand what visitors actually find useful.
Your choice about cookies
When you first visit, a clear notice asks whether you will allow statistics cookies. If you accept, Analytics may operate as described above. If you reject them, non-essential Analytics storage remains off. A necessary cookie remembers your choice so the site does not ask the same question on every page.
You may change your mind at any time by using the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of the site. You may also clear cookies through your browser.
Contact forms, newsletters, and service providers
Information you send is not shared for advertising or unrelated marketing. It may pass through the companies that keep the website and email working, only as needed to deliver your message or requested update. That is basic operating plumbing, not a sale of your information or permission for an unrelated use.
I may also use or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the site, investigate abuse, or respond to a valid legal requirement. I do not otherwise share personal information.
Downloads and outside links
Some downloads on this site are intentionally available only to people who already have the correct address or access information. Analytics may record that a download occurred after consent, but it does not receive the contents of the file.
This site also links to places such as Amazon, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Once you follow an outside link, that site’s privacy practices apply. I do not control them.
How long information is kept
Messages are kept only as long as they remain useful for answering you or maintaining ordinary correspondence. Technical logs are kept as needed for security and reliable operation. Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the separate Radatti Analytics account. I do not keep personal information simply because storage is available.
Your questions and choices
You may ask what information you have sent, request a correction or deletion, stop requested email updates, or ask a privacy question. Use the site’s Contact page and put “Privacy” in the subject line. I will address a reasonable request directly.
Changes to this policy
If the site’s practices change, I will update this page and change the effective date. The basic rule will remain simple: collect as little as practical, use it for a stated purpose, and do not quietly turn it into something else.
